To maintain and advance Assumption's tradition of academic excellence, the Tsotsis Family Academic Center encourages creative thinking, the sharing of ideas, and collaboration. The brand new 62,000 SF state-of-the-art academic center features 13 high-tech, flexible classrooms; seminar rooms; common study spaces; a 400-seat performance hall with a rehearsal room, both of which are equipped with a sophisticated sound system not found in any other higher education institution on the East Coast; and a multi-function space that can accommodate 400 people. The building also contains faculty offices for the Assumption Core Texts and Enduring Questions Program, the Business Studies Department, the Honors Program and the D’Amour Center for Teaching Excellence.

Favulli Electric installed high-end offerings for light fixtures, lighting controls, theatrical lighting, audio/visual systems, security/access control systems, an extensive voice-evacuation fire alarm system, and a BDA antenna system. The installation of new medium-voltage campus electrical distribution equipment brings an 800A 480V service to the building, complete with a 100KW natural gas standby generator. Exterior spaces were upgraded with the installation of light poles along outdoor walkways; decorative lighting to highlight plantings, retaining walls, and staircases; and wired pumps and lighting for a beautiful new water fountain.

This ground-up construction project started in Spring 2016 and was completed late Fall 2017.
